If I had a ton of money...

Here are some things I would like to have/do:

1.  I would get french tip solar nails and keep them well maintained.  I feel pretty with pretty fingers.
2.  I would play sims.  I don't really have the time to play and I've never played before... but I've always known that it'd be a game I'd like, and Johnny seems to LOVE it.
3.  I would get an iphone.  I hate the iphone, but I kind of love it.  I'd get an itouch, if I didn't feel that it'd be a waste of money--I just think I'd constantly think, "well shit, I might as well have gotten the iphone".  My nieces and nephews have itouches and they play games... fun games.  I want those games.  I like games.
4.  I want a Nintendo DS.  Again, fun games.  I like games.  I LOVE games, apparently.
5.  I would shop at Anthropologie exclusively.
6.  I would repaint my front bumper--which has had paint chipping off of it since a rock (we think) hit it on one of our road trips back home.
7.  I would probably buy a hybrid.
8.  I would take my nieces and nephews on a trip!  My sister took me to Disneyworld when I was 8 and it was SO MUCH FUN!  I'd probably wait until my nieces and nephews were older (e.g., I'd take Amanda on a graduation trip to Europe!  AHH!)
9.  I would travel to Europe EVERY CHANCE I GOT!
10.  I would own a house in which my friends (or friends of friends) could live in if they needed to.  Sometimes you're down on your luck and you just need space.

This is just a short list that just popped up in my head RIGHT now.

A FANTASTIC WEEK!

This week has been full of wonderful things!

Monday -- not too great. I had to study while most of my friends were hanging out as a pre-Luis turns 21 birthday party.

Tuesday -- had to take my content exam. I was a nervous wreck. Not so much because I didn't think I knew the material, but mostly because if I DIDN'T pass it, it'd be a waste of $120 and time. THEN I'd have to wait 60 days before I could take it again. That would've put a very tight squeeze on my schedule if I wanted to start teaching in the fall. The best thing about the day wasn't so much that my test was (finally) over, but Luis turned 21! We all went to Trudy's and then the regulars (me, Johnny, Buddy, Thomas, Kayla, Kristi, Carl, Bryan--no Kyle) and some newbs (Sarah Bowers, T Rob, Laura Y, her friend) went DT for Luis's bday. Not only did that boy do all 21 shots (including an awesome body shot on... someone... special...) but he also did 17 of them without seeming to be phased AT ALL. By the time he got his 21st... he was a bit gone though. There are photos. We had to carry him. It was a fun night though--despite the fact he managed to spill two cups of water and fries at Whataburger.

Wednesday - I finally got to see LC! I think it was the first time I saw her since our Crawfish date (let's take a moment to think of the crawfish) ... okay. Anyway, she just moved into a new apartment on South Lamar. She literally JUST moved in (we sat amongst boxes during the evening). I picked up Madams (she lives THREE minutes away!) and we sat, ate, and caught up. It was a good night =D

Thursday - I got word that I passed my test. I only missed 4 questions and got 290 out of 300! I got word from my ACP that I can pretty much start applying for jobs. THIS IS INSANE! Thomas and I watched Star Trek V (oh yeah, and we're watching them in order) and then went over to Lisa & Mike's to hang out and play with Luke. I'm not sure if Thomas got to see him now that I think about it. Lisa, Thomas and I hung around and played Clue. Thomas won twice and then Lisa won. I was never close. What's up with that?

Friday - Thomas is graduating today! This, of course is exciting... and to make the day even more exciting--Buddy got the Austin job! I knew he would. When I saw that I missed a call from him... I KNEW that's what it had to be about! This is shaping up to be a great week and this coming up year is going to be spectacular! YAY!

I'm Back, Skinny Bitches!

After a brief (if you consider months brief--I mean relative to the existence of the universe, it was VERY brief), I'm back and ready. I've had to personally get some things in order, but I think I'm ready to begin again. Gotta get that beach (Hurricane Harbor?) bod! Wish me luck! Hopefully, this time I mean it!

I'm Doing It Again

That thing where I blog everything for like a day... and then I don't blog for months. I guess it hasn't been that long since my last blog--I just feel like so much has happened and I'm not really taking the time to write about it. I guess it's good that I'm living my life and not just blogging about it.

Well, obv, Luke was born. He's awesome. And by awesome I mean really really cute. And he farts loudly. I've smelled it a few times and it's not that great, but he's a baby... and he smiles when he does it, so I'll take what I can get. I'm living with Johnny officially now. Lisa and Mike moved into a new place and I'm living with Johnny while they get situated with the new babes. It's not bad. He's rarely there, and when he is... he keeps to his hole and I keep to mine. I still FEEL like I just moved in (despite the fact it's been almost a month maybe?) so I haven't done a great job about finishing the "decorating" process... that is, putting all my shit back where they belong. I want to. I just haven't. Sorry Johnny. Lovesmeans?

It doesn't help that it always takes me forever after a trip that involves a suitcase to put it up. Oh yeah, I went to Boston! Thomas and I went up to Boston to visit Jenny! It was so great to see her! I only see her a few times a year now... and even then it's only for a day or so. It was good to catch up and see what her life's like up there. My favorite part? The subway. I LOVE SUBWAYS. I'm so jealous of people who get to live with a subway. It's just efficient public transportation! Thomas and I did a lot of walking and sightseeing (especially the first day--we walked the Freedom Trail!) so my feet hurt a lot... I was able to locate a bookstore that carried a Knopf mapguide of Boston! Knopf is officially my go-to mapguide for walking cities. It's just awesome. I had one in Paris and it was vital to my trip. I should advertise for them.

I told Jennifer yesterday that I was going to hopefully start teaching in the fall. I decided it was time to let them know... especially now that I'm more sure that this is the route I want to take. At least for the next 5 years or so (Perkins Loan Forgiveness, anyone?)

Well there's your quick update. The 2 people that read this must be thrilled.

Oh and I LOOOOOOOOOOVE the new Star Trek. Watched the original movie and then the Wrath of Khan. The original SUCKED and was painful to sit through, but the Wrath of Khan was pretty good.
